Why is climate change bad? by Steve McQuinn

I’d lump all negative effects into one category: unreliability. If there were just climate shifts to a new stable regime, that would be negative for some and positive for others. People, wild creatures and plants would adapt over time, nature mostly by migration and a shift in ecosystem composition in the short term and humans mostly by exploitation of new economic opportunities. I single out unreliability because we are self centered species with a very short planning horizon, so the unreliability of any economic component can impact us greatly.  Read on via Quora...
