More than 13% of the world’s imported goods are purchased by America, equaling $3.4 trillion in 2024. From industrial inputs like copper and machinery to consumer goods, America’s appetite for imports reflected strong domestic demand and business activity. Meanwhile, China imported $2.6 trillion in goods, ranking second globally.
